Q2 2024 Android Performance for Top Music & Podcasts Apps in the US

As the second quarter of 2024 comes to a close, we've taken a look at the performance of the top Music and Podcasts applications on the Android platform in the United States. The data, provided by Sensor Tower, offers a glimpse into the trends of app downloads, revenue, and weekly active users.

Spotify: Music and Podcasts maintained its strong position with downloads peaking at 285M in mid-May and a slight dip to 192M by late June. Weekly active users hovered around the 20M mark throughout the quarter, with minor fluctuations.

Amazon Music: Songs & Podcasts showed a steady revenue trend, ranging from 23K to 29K USD, with downloads seeing a significant jump from 45K to 71K in the latter part of the quarter. Active users experienced a gradual increase, ending the quarter at 303K.

Apple Music revenue remained steady, with a slight increase in late June reaching 14K USD. The app saw a spike in downloads in late May, hitting 55K, but generally remained around the 14K mark. Active users showed a consistent pattern, with a peak of 87K in late May.

Deezer: Music & Podcast Player saw its revenue reach nearly 10K USD in late April, with a slight decrease to 8K by the end of June. Downloads varied, with a notable increase to 31K in early June. The weekly active user count showed a decrease overall, ending at 668K.

TIDAL Music: HiFi sound, while having lower revenue figures, experienced a growth from 1K to nearly 3K USD over the quarter. Downloads remained below 3K, with active users showing an upward trend, finishing at 103K by late June.
